S&P HITS 5000! A NEW HIGH!

The S&P hit a new high today going over 5000! We remind all those gloom and doomers out there that we said 2023 would be a good year in the markets, the economy continuing to prosper and with inflation coming down. And we said that 2024 looked very good and here we are!

It will be 15 years ago on this coming March 9 that the stock market reached the bottom at 666, in the Great Recession of 2008. We called the bottom using the Bradley system in the February 2009 issue of our stock market newsletter. We had said a recession was coming at the end of 2007 when everyone was sure we would continue the bull market through 2008. It wasn’t until Bears Stearns collapsed in March of 2008, followed by the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers in September 2008, that the Great Recession began.

Using the McWhirter cycles, we also called the bottom of the housing cycle. This cycle is based on the 11-year Nodal cycle. the bottom was August of 2009. See more about these cycles in our book, How To Choose Stocks To Outperform The Market 2024.
